Amazonian plant diets have been used for millennia by the shamans of South America for various healing, educational and spiritual purposes. In recent years, more and more Westerners are drawn to learn the ways of the master plants and fly to the Amazon to engage with this sacred practice.
In this talk Javier Regueiro will speak about the shamanic plant diet process, its benefits, and challenges. Shamanic plant diets are a process specific of the Amazon jungle shamanic tradition and they are engaged in for physical and non-physical healing and learning. The limits of what is available in terms of physical and non-physical healing is only limited by one's mind and the spiritual and psychological maturity of the individual engaging in it, but it is the most powerful healing and spiritual process Javier has ever engaged in.
The many formats of this process will be explained, with emphasis on the more common format, which involves the daily ingestion of a decoction of the plant one is dieting accompanied by the ingestion of Ayahuasca every few days.
Drawing from his extensive experience in the diet process for both personal healing and learning, Javier will share the knowledge he has gathered through dieting plants such as Ayahuasca, Tobacco, Datura, and Chakruna.
Javier will furthermore present his two newly published books “Ayahuasca: Soul Medicine of the Amazon Jungle” and “San Pedro/Huachuma: Opening the Pathways of the Heart” and address the importance of set and setting, preparation, and integration. Copies of both books will be available for purchase.
